Heathcote Lake

Heathcote is seventeen miles long and only one half mile wide. Due to it's long and skinny shape, Heathcote offers thousands of bays and islands and hundreds of miles of shoreline. Spawning areas in the lake are filled with above average amounts of gravel/rubble on bottom which helps create one of the most prolific spawning grounds. The tea stained water color provides a natural cover for the growing fry/fingerlings, so many have the chance to make it to adulthood.
