Confusion Lake

With only a single outfitter located on it's shores, and access by float-plane alone, confusion lake is an undisturbed anglers paradise. Angling for lake trout in spring and fall is good but somewhat slower in mid summer. Pickerel, North Pike and Muskie are all good through out the open water season. aside form the lake trout taken in deep summer, all the fish seem to be located on this lakes irregular shore.

Confusion Lake has an area of approximately 1600 acres and is 12 miles long with a maximum depth of 140 feet. What makes it so great for anglers is the large number of islands and weedy bays as well as the many reefs and structure. The miles and miles of shoreline vary between rocky and sandy.
