Just to say Halley's Outpost is the best. Good food, good people, great fishing. Looking foward to trophy smallmouth on Rex lake this fall. Both Moosehorn and Dowswell produced good pike and smallmouth last two years. Good Fishing

We just returned from a great trip from Bee Lake so I thought I would post a message. We were very well taken care of by Gene and his crew. The cabin was great and everything worked well and was easy to use. The bass and walleye bite was tremendous. You can catch 100 bass in a day if you focus on it. They averaged about 16 inches but we caught many 17s and a few over 18. Didnt get a 19 but they are there. We kinda rotated between them and the walleyes. We caught walleyes from very small up to 27 inches and all in the 10 foot range. The bass were anywhere from on the bank out to 10 feet. We tip our jigs with crawlers although we could have caught fish without them i think. We ran over to Eden lake by boat 3 times and caught a few lake trout and took advantage of its great bass fishing as well. This was my 23rd year to canada and this was one of the top 3 destinations I have been to. Thanks Halleys.

For anyone looking for a perfect trip with sure thing "easy" walleye fishing, I would like to suggest the Long Lake outpost. The lake is full of walleye that can be caught with about any lure or rig you want to try. The cabin is beautiful as well. My wife and I are going back this summer. It is a perfect get away for a couple or a small group that want to catch all the walleye they like but don't have much experience.
