One of Ontario Canada's smallest cities, with a population of approximately 8100+, the City of Dryden enjoys the splendor of Wabigoon Lake and is a natural tourist destination. If you are visiting, Dryden is easily accessible from the east and west via the Transcanada Highway. Traveling by road our City is located at the terminus of Highway 502 from Fort Frances and a direct link from the United States (Minnesota). Dryden is the dividing point for visitors and local traffic taking Highway 105 to the "Eagle" capital of Ear Falls, the "Norseman" capital of Red Lake, and to the northern lands of the Nishinawbe Aski Nation. We are the terminus for those traveling onwards to Sioux Lookout (home of the Blueberry Festival), Savant Lake, Pickle Lake, and to the Land & Communities of Treaty 9 via Highway 72 & Highway 599.

Regionally centered, we are east of Kenora on Lake of the Woods, Vermilion Bay (Township of Machin) on Eagle Lake; and west of Ignace on Agimac Lake and Wabigoon Ontario. Dryden is the Hub of Northwestern Ontario and we are pleased to extend to you this invitation to stop and enjoy the quality of life and the interesting sights and sounds that make Dryden a great place to live and visit.

Fun stops - parks and water front walkways, hotels, motels, walk about shopping & excellent eateries, superb dining, and craft stores are located in our downtown core. Major retail/box stores are easily accessed from both downtown and Highway 17. Boat from our "in town" docks to golf courses, exciting fishing & water skiing to good eating/dining opportunities and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Our annual "Walleye Masters" fish tournament kicks off the start of "MooseFest," an annual family festival with many community events, centered around Canada Day, complete with fireworks and closes with the grand finale of the "Hog and Rod" weekend. (June-July).

Take a break, exercise at our Recreation Centre & enjoy our Water Slide while you swim in our pool. Join us at baseball, soccer, volleyball, mini golf, hike and bike, ice fishing, curling, exciting downhill and cross country skiing and many more sporting events. The winter scenery is simply spectacular viewed from your snowmachine. Our wildlife is outstanding and provides an excellent subject for your camera shoots. Sportsman can enjoy our hunting and fishing, and visitors are always welcome at the many tourist camps in the area.

Park your RV at one of our local campgrounds, register at our hotels, visit a variety of dining establishments, shop and have fun. Indoors and Outdoors Dryden is a great place to live and visit, and we look forward to making your stay a wonderful holiday filled with the warmth of Northwestern hospitality.
