We are located in Northwestern Ontario. Route Lake Lodge is a drive to boat in fishing and hunting lodge located 22 miles north of Dryden, Ontario. You can spend an exhilarating vacation fishing for Walleye, Northern Pike, Perch or Lake Trout. Our scenic location ensures excellent fishing opportunities all season long. Portages allow you to travel from Route Lake to 3 other lakes that offer abundant supplies of Walleye, Northern and Lake Trout. There are 7 scheduled “drive to” lakes in this area of Northern Ontario, one of which allows for excellent small mouth bass fishing. We also offer guided day trips to Lac Suel.
Route Lake Lodge is situation on a peninsula, with six cabins three on each side of the point. We have excellent boat ramps, docking and fish cleaning facilities.

Route Lake Lodge is family owned and operated to give you more of a personal touch and to make your stay memorable and enjoyable. Our resort runs on solar and generator to give you 24 hr electricity. Free WI-FI in the main lodge, please bring your lap top. Every Wednesday we have a catch and release fishing derby on Route Lake”only “for the biggest Walleye and Northern caught , for the fishing season each one will win a free Housekeeping Package for the following year followed by a camp fish fry for all our guests. We aim to help you make the most of your stay and add you to the long list of guests that keep coming back for more; some people have been coming for 30 years straight!
Fishing and Hunting Lodge in Dryden, ON
Whether you are fishing by yourself or in a group, Route Lake Lodge gives you access to the lakes and boats you need to reel in the big one. Route Lake covers approximately 9000 acres with two 7 mile long fingers with plenty sheltered bays. The main lake has northern, walleye, perch, and lake trout. Plus, there are three portage lakes off the main route and seven drive-to lakes our staff takes you to.
Most fishing is done independently, but guides are available upon request, as are boats, motors, and gas when you purchase a fishing package. We do not sell fishing or hunting licenses. All of our 16′ flat floor boats are equipped with 20 & 25 HP Yamaha electric start motors, swivel seats, fish locator, net, anchor and minnow buckets.
Hunting at Route Lake Lodge
Route Lake Lodge offers Spring & Fall hunting for black and colored bears. On our 2 bear management areas have plenty of black bears, your chance for a colour bear is fairly successful. Over the years our success rate as been over 90%. Pre-baited stands, all stands are River Edge ladder stands within 30 to 40 yards of the baits. We start baiting our stands mid July to insure a good selection of bears..You are welcome to hunt with rifle, muzzle loader, cross bows or bow. All guest please have your hunting & fishing license prior to arriving at the camp
Modern Cabins for fishermen and hunters
All cabins at Route Lake Lodge are fully modernized with hot and cold running water, flush toilets, electric refrigerators and gas stoves. Our cabins have 2 to 3 bedrooms and sleep 2 to 10 people. Plus, we are pleased to provide you with all cooking utensils, dishes, silverware, all linen, pillows, bath towels, dish & hand soap and toliet paper. Bath towels & dish cloths are changed only on Wednesdays. All gas bbq’s have been changed to charchoal briquettes (not supplied) fish fryers and wood stoves for warmth. Most guests stay Saturday to Saturday to give themselves plenty of time for fishing.
