Fishing at Sydney Lake

Sydney Lake is located in Ontario’s Trophy Waters special conservation area. This is the area west of the Manitoba Border, North of the English River Chain and extend into the southern section of Woodland Caribou Park. The Trophy lakes have the most trophy fish caught in Ontario per angler. Remoteness, Natural lake structures and decades of careful fisheries conservation policies, including the policy that all trophy fish be returned to the waters alive have kept the fishing here amongst the best to be found.

7 lakeside cabins are waiting to host you and your crew. Three cozy 4 man cabins with wood burning stoves are ready for groups of 2-4. Four deluxe 4 bedroom cabins are great for groups of 5-12 persons.

Your comfort starts with a great mattress – we have recently upgraded mattresses to higher end models that ensure a great nights rest.

Watch the fox or groundhogs scurry around, loons and ducks dive in the waters following bait-fish, or the majestic bald eagles soar and fish. Theres always something going on when your surrounded by nature.

The Fahlgren family has been on Sydney Lake since 1933 and have been operating Sydney Lake Lodge since 1980. We are on exclusive waters and have some really good fishing with conservation fishing practices that go back decades. The walleye fishing is legendary, catch fish after fish, not knowing, with that hard fighting action, if its that trophy walleye you have been waiting for.
