Our spectacular log housekeeping cabins. woodstoves, Coleman lanterns & an old time ice house help preserve the feel of earlier days in the North. Conservation minded fishing on our remote lakes for Trophy Walleye, Pike, Lake Trout, Jumbo Perch and Smallmouth! Get Back to nature with Quality fisheries and service. The only thing we overlook is Wine Lake….. – Adventure back to a simpler time.

Wine Lake is as productive as it ever was — thanks to decades of abiding by a strong Catch and Release policy. Every year thousands of brood stock walleye ( 18 -25 inches) are released back into the lake. Since this size walleye contributes the most to the spawn, Wine Lake anglers are insuring that the lake they love to fish will produce great eating-size walleye again and again. Hundreds of TROPHY lake trout, northern pike, perch, small mouth, and walleye are also released each year. The monsters of each species are gently held horizontally and then quickly released so that others may catch and capture their excitement on film too. Everyone who practices Catch and Release on Wine Lake is rewarded. The coveted C&R pin is proudly won and the story that goes with it is retold and exaggerated for years to come.

Boat-in Only Camp

Wine Lake Camp is a boat-in only camp, you will go on an hour-long adventure 25 miles through the water to our remote location. We will first take you on an 18-mile journey through the Canadian wilderness on our new 22-foot Zagfab. This will bring you to our 50-foot portage next to a beautiful waterfall where we will help you move your gear into one of our dependable Lund boats. All our boats are clean, safe, and are equipped with well-maintained 4-stroke 25 hp Yamaha motors.

From there, you will begin your seven-mile ride into a river system complete with wild rice, lilies and winding bends before reaching the solitude of Wine Lake. Experience “life on the edge” as you reach a secluded lake where we are the only facility for miles around. Once you get settled in, our camp on Wine Lake features six well-maintained log cabins, turn of the century outhouses, and a rugged icehouse. Fish, relax, or even enjoy an afternoon siesta in our lazy day hammocks. We provide all the necessities for light housekeeping with a blend of modern convenience to make your wilderness adventure complete.
